First Visit:
Your dentist will prepare the teeth on either side of the gap, called abutment teeth, by gently reshaping them so they can support crowns. Detailed impressions or digital scans are taken and sent to a dental lab. While your custom bridge is being made, a temporary restoration is placed to protect the prepared teeth.
Second Visit:
When the permanent bridge is ready, the temporary is removed, and the custom bridge is carefully fitted and adjusted for comfort, bite, and alignment. Once everything is confirmed, the bridge is securely cemented in place, restoring function and a natural appearance to your smile.
A dental bridge typically takes a couple of weeks from start to finish as your restoration is crafted, and many patients find it feels natural within a short adjustment period.
